Resin Masks
These masks are made with a polyurethane resin cast in a mold made of my original sculptures. I sculpt in Monster Clay and make my molds with Smooth-On silicone. A few of these style of mask have interchangeable separately cast hollow horns and teeth, This allows for a large variety of design using one mask base.
Leather Masks
These masks are made from vegetable tanned leather. This type of leather uses a different tanning process than suede couch and garment leather. Vegetable tanned leather holds carved details and can be shaped when damp and retains its shape when dried.
This type of mask making allows for the creation of a light wight costume pieces that feel delicate but are sturdy and can be worn for casual costume party events as well as more active dance and theatrical events.
Clients that have purchased my leather masks include Boston Crusaders Drum and Bugle Corps, the ABC’s hit series Once Upon A Time, Théâtre Musical Marsoulan in Paris, and several small school theatre productions.
